elpa-with-editor software package provides Call program using Emacs as $EDITOR, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install elpa-with-editor
elpa-with-editor is installed in your system.
Make ensure the elpa-with-editor package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep elpa-with-editor *
You will get with elpa-with-editor package name, version, architecture and description in a table
